Advanced chemistry and chemistry students in Mrs. Fatura's classes were given the chance to demonstrate an inquiry-based chemistry lesson to Mrs. Macher's third-grade students. This lab experience revolved around unraveling the scientific principles behind a fascinating toy known as "wack a packs." Witnessing both sets of students enthusiastically engaged was so uplifting. In addition to this memorable chemistry experience, the high school students were pleasantly surprised to receive heartfelt thank you letters from the students they collaborated with. The sincere reflections on the 3rd graders gained knowledge were very touching. These remarkable opportunities, exclusive to our K-12 district, hold great significance for students across all grade levels.
