Coin Wars is on!

HELP THE UKRAINIAN CHILDREN REFUGEES: Pentwater K-12th grade students will be participating in a "COIN WAR" where each classroom will be collecting donations (coins & bills). At the end of the two weeks, all donations will go directly to the refugee fund. The fundraising will run from March 14 - March 25. The goal is to reach a combined total of $2000 and the elementary and JH/HS class with the most points will each win a $50 gift card for their class (can we say pizza party?!!) $30 gift cards will be given to the highest classes if we collect less than our $2000 goal. Please give your donations to any Pentwater student for their class or give directly to the front office collection jar.

-Visible excitement on childrens' faces when they see hundreds of books to choose from
-Children have great discussions about books they have read
-Friends help each other pick out books on topics they enjoy
-Children share fond memories they have about special books
-Books are recycled and loved once again
Happy reading everyone!

FIND YOUR JOY! Our first Pentwater Mental Health Day with elementary students was a success on Thursday, 3/3. Pentwater Mental Health Days nurtures an awareness of mindfulness practices for all ages with the aim of creating lifelong interest and engagement in whole self-wellness. Many thanks to area businesses and community members who helped make it a success. Our JH/HS students will participate on Tuesday, 3/8. There were activities such as yoga, animal exploration, crochet/crafting, yard games, building activities, yoga as well as karaoke for some singing and laughter!

Some of our Middle Schoolers travelled to Hart today to compete in a Quizbowl competition. We came in second losing to Hart in our third match. For only having 3 practices I was very proud.
