Go Falcons!
The Homecoming Extravaganza was a HUGE success! The night was filled with special moments that make our school incredibly unique. The " Main Event" was the 4 hour classic containing 2 winning basketball games, glo-show, cheers, king and queen, prince and princess, smiles and community pride all wrapped in a small gymnasium, standing room only. The Varsity extended their record to 9-0 in conference vs the Wildcats of Walkerville. The JV beat the Pirates of Hart. Several athletes stepped up in both contests to give the crowd something to cheer about and reminded us all the magic of a strong and prideful community.
Well Done, Falcons!

The Falcons hit the road tonight to battle conference rival MCE in their 3rd contest in a row this week. The Falcons struggled to find their offensive groove as a team the first two quarters. However, defensively Kaleb Brown and Jack Roberts locked in on guarding Custers best player. our defensive effort kept the Falcons within 2 possession of the Cardinals going into the half.( 19-23). With several offensive adjustments the Falcons came out knocking down 17 points in the third and holding the Cardinals to 7. The Mix of Mikey, Kaleb, Jonny and Trey led the scoring attack, overcoming a 9 point deficit and taking us into the 4th 31-36. This was all the momentum the Falcon team needed to take control of the game and the entire team started clicking! Kaleb Brown was the defensive motivator tonight shutting down their best shooter and holding him to 6pts. With his efforts coupled by the team chemistry the Falcons remain undefeated in conference. ( 7-0).

White Cloud traveled to Pentwater tonight in a non-conference matchup. The importance of playing talented non-conference games was the challenge the team faced in tonight's contest with White Cloud. The Falcons started the game out strong, keeping the scoring within 4 until the final minute of the first quarter when White Cloud knocked down multiple 3 pointers. ( 10-18) This hot streak continued for them into the second and third quarters as well. It proved to be all White Cloud offensively, shooting the lights out from 3 ( hitting 8 total in both quarter combined). The strong defensive presence rattled the Falcons and shots did not fall scoring 6pts and 8pts. The 4th quarter the Falcons started to find their team play and work together. It was however a little too late with the huge lead that White Cloud created. The Falcons lost a tough game tonight.
Mikey Carlson led the Falcons with 14pts and 11 rebounds.
Overall 6-2
Conference 6-0
The Falcons take action for a third time on Friday, 1/5, at MCE.
