The Pentwater High School National Honor Society is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on Friday, 10/10, from 10am-3:30pm, in the large gymnasium!

Pentwater Esports' Mario Kart team had its first match of the regular season today. Bailey Case and Jane Howard returned to the competitive arena today and claimed victory over two other teams. This week, they only raced against 2 other teams instead of 3. Today, their competitors are Romeo High School and Garber High School. Mario Kart is a series of 3 games, each consisting of 4 races.

In the first set of four races, we were the clear leader, placing many points ahead of the other teams. The second set was a different story. The difference between first and second place was one point; we came out on top! The third set of races was intense, especially the final race, when Bailey got hit with every item that could slow her down. She finished 5th out of 6th in this race, after having placed 1st six times in the 11 prior races. Unfortunately, we fell to second place by four points.

Overall, I am very proud of our initial showing this season.
I am looking forward to what they do in future weeks.

We are planning our fun activities for Red Ribbon Week 2025 which will be held the week of Monday, 10/27, thru Friday, 10/31! Red Ribbon is the largest and longest-running drug prevention campaign in the U.S.!

Pentwater Esports is back in action for the fall. Three different titles compete on three different nights. First up on Tuesday is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This year's team got off to a strong start. Rodney Grondsma, Alden Grondsma, and Xach Davis won both rounds against Hougton High School. Jojo Mannor is starting as a huge help this season in her role as manager. She is keeping track of scores for both Super Smash and Mario Kart.
I am looking forward to another exciting season as we compete in our 4th year with MiHSEF (Michigan High School Esports Federation).

We will be honoring our JV and Varsity Volleyball Athletes/Parents and Seniors at our home game versus Brethren on Thursday, 10/23! We hope to see you there!
