Parents and Gaurdians, please check out this post. This program is a great way to help with the high costs of internet or mobile data. Thank you to Hart's Technology Director, Jason Gale, for sharing this information. The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC program that helps connect families and households struggling to afford Internet service as well as pay for a connected device like a laptop or tablet. You are likely eligible if your household’s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch. Contact 877-384-2575, or visit fcc.gov/acp if you have any questions. You can also visit https://www.everyoneon.org/find-offers to find offers in your area.

Esports Team 1 went up against Akron-Fairgrove in a Super Smash Brothers Ultimate match that would decide if they made it into Pinckney for the finals or if they had to play in a playoff round on Saturday. The first match was quick, with Logan taking out all three. The second match was a nail-biter, with Bode coming in clutch and securing a spot in the finals. Team 2 was in a different situation. Team 2 played against Lee SSBU, playing for a spot on Saturday in the playoffs. Things went well in the first match, with Alden taking out 2 and Hunter beating the final person. The second and third, however, were both nail-biters. The second ended with Lily and Hunter taking out one each but falling short. The third ended in a 1v1 between Hunter and one of Lee’s players. Hunter beat the Lee player and secured a spot in the playoffs. Team 2 plays on Saturday, December 3rd at 2pm while Team 1 heads straight to the finals for the early morning on December 10th at 9 am.

HAPPY BOOKSGIVING! Mrs. Voss hosted the first ever Pentwater Elementary Booksgiving today. This was possible thanks to the generous donations of books, for the book swaps that she hosts a few times each year. Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade were able to pick a book to take home and enjoy over Thanksgiving break. Happy reading!!!!

Veterans Day 2022
Esports competed last night Team 1 competed against Godfrey-Lee we won both matches, going all 5 rounds. Team 2 almost didn't compete due to sickness, but we managed to play against Comstock Park 3. This team is undefeated; however, we did knock out two of their players in the second match. I am thrilled with how far we have come in our first season of competing, and I am looking forward to the last two matches of the regular season to see what we can do.

Memories of a good friend! We thank the family of Bill Briggs for the donation of the new AED in our school lobby as well as four new trees for the front lawn in memory of our dear friend, Bill! Bill Briggs was employed by PPS as a sub bus driver in 1992 before being hired full time in 1997 as the facilities/transportation director. Bill took great pride in our students, staff, district and facilities for many years prior to his retirement in 2009. Bill passed away on August 21, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. We know many considered Bill a great friend and he is missed! PPS thanks you for your donation in memory of our friend!
