
Graduation Roll Call 2023: Jacob Arnouts is the son of Anthony Arnouts and Kathryn Arnouts. Jacob plans on attending Ferris State University and obtaining a degree in Graphic Media Management.


Free sports physicals for 2023/2024 are being offered on Monday, 5/22/23, at 6pm in the Central Business Office. The MHSAA sports physical form can be found in the front school office or you may download the required forms from the district website under Athletics/Athletic Forms. If your student is planning or is thinking about participating in a junior high or high school level sport during the 2023/2024 school year, a sports physical must be on file prior to participation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office at 869-4100 ex. 210.


Bowls for "Pastabilities" are shaping up nicely!

3rd graders would like to thank the Oceana Conservation District for carrying on the tradition of giving every 3rd grade student in Oceana County a white pine tree seedling on Arbor Day (which was on April 28th)! We can't wait to watch them grow!





NHS students participated in the District 10 Health Department's Youth Leadership Summit at Grace Adventures on Wednesday! Students learned about the importance of positive mental health practices and the dangers of vaping through guest speakers and activities.

The after school clay bowl making workshop was bustling today in the art room. "Pastabilities" will be May 11th, save the date!









We are gearing up for the Empty Bowls event, "Pastabilities!" Art students teach younger students, parents, grandparents and big brothers how to make clay bowls during and after school.










Individuals living in the following counties: Arenac, Clare, Gladwin, Isabelle, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Newaygo, Oceana and Osceola AND have a disability OR are struggling financially, please take a moment to complete the survey. For those that are eligible and complete the entire survey, they will be directed to a separate survey to provide mailing info for a $25 gift card. This survey will close Monday, May 1, at 12pm; however, there is the potential of an extension if they do not reach response targets. Questions? Please email info@northernmichiganchir.org


"Pastabilities", an Empty Bowls event to benefit the Pentwater Community Food Pantry will take place on Thursday, 5/11/23, in the small gymnasium from 4:30pm - 6:50pm with the Spring Band Concert immediately following at 7:00pm. Join us to buy a student made bowl and to eat some delicious pasta!
Want to make a bowl? Please reach out to Mrs. Carrie Jeruzal, K-12 Art Instructor, to schedule a time before Thursday, 4/27/23.
Are you able to donate a pasta dish to pass or other items for the Pastabilities event? Below is a list of items needed. Please bring in donations by May 8th: Plastic forks; Plastic or styrofoam bowls ( in case guests don't want to dirty their pottery); Non-refrigerated parmesan cheese; Napkins; Plastic, paper or styrofoam cups for water; Packaged cookies; Packaged rolls or bread; Old hair dryers (for the clay process)

7th and 3rd grade artists collaborated on a drawing that then developed into a artwork gift exchange! 7th graders made soft sculptures and 3rd graders stitched on painted burlap all based on the original collaborative drawings.
