The season concluded for Pentwater Varisty Softball as they fell to White Cloud in the second District game this Friday, May 31. White Cloud's strong hitting accompanied by a handful of errors from Pentwater put the Falcons into an early hole. A scorching single by Charlie Swanger in the bottom of the third after Karina Oliveraz got on base put pressure on White Cloud.. However, the Indians were able to stop the rally and seal the victory 20-0. Thank you all for your support this season and we look forward to next year as our young team continues to grow and compete. Final Record: 3-10

Our five Falcons had a great showing at the State Track & Field meet today held in Hudsonville. Mitchel Daniels placed 18th in the 3200 with a new PR by three seconds finishing in 10:13.34 . The 4 x 100 relay team of Mitchel Daniels, Ben Merten, Logan Fatura and Chase McGuire-VanGills also set a new PR today with a time of 46:98.
The athletes enjoyed a fun night going out to dinner, swimming, and playing at an arcade. Thank you to the Sports Boosters and Pentwater Athletics (Ralph Baker) for supporting this opportunity for our kids.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our team throughout this entire season. A special thanks to Coach VanDuinen for all of her hard work as my assistant coach. Falcons Varsity Softball hosted the first round of districts this Friday, taking on the Mason County Eastern Cardinals. Aggressive base running along with some key hits by Mandi Sayles and Kenna Hasil led Pentwater to an early lead. A stellar pitching performance by Aubrie Adams led the way with 5 strikeouts. Pitching along with strong defense stymied the Cardinals leading to a first round victory for your Pentwater Falcons 8-5. The next game of districts will be on Friday May 31 at Marion High School against the White Cloud Indians.

The Falcons baseball team hosted Manistee Catholic Central on Tuesday night for their final regular season doubleheader. In Game 1, the Sabers were quickly retired with a 1-2-3 inning, giving Pentwater a 1-0 lead after the first inning. However, the Sabers tied the game with a walk-off home run in the second inning, and the Falcons were unable to recover, losing the first game 19-2. Game 2 was a competitive battle from the start. After a quick first inning, the Falcons scored four runs in the second inning, evening the score at 4-4. The game remained close through six innings, but the Falcons emerged victorious with an 11-9 win. Great season, team! We'll be playing West Michigan Christian in the Districts on June 1st.
