JH Interdisciplinary Field Trip to Grand Rapids!

Students in Mrs. Fatura’s STEM class had the opportunity to learn more about aerospace engineering from Ali Nasseri through the Skype a Scientist program. He shared many interesting stories about his work with Artificial intelligence, drones and space policy. It was a fantastic experience for the students to learn more about career options and aerospace. More about Ali can be found at site.nasseri.ca.

On Friday, February 28, 2020, the 5th Grade Band got to see the arts in action! Each student got to see and hear not only the instruments they play in band every week, but a full orchestra at the Grand Rapids Symphony's 5th Grade Concert Series. We've got many inspired young musicians - maybe they'll be on that stage in twenty years!

Each fishing team consists of two students and one adult captain/coach. Multiple teams are encouraged per school, so the more the merrier! Anyone who would like to donate their time as a captain/coach, we would love to share this experience with you! We are also asking for donations to help out along the way. If you would like more information or would like to donate, please contact the school or Mr. Mike Phillips. Thank you so much!
