The Falcons traveled to Western Michigan Christian tonight for a Varsity Non-Conference matchup and Won in the final seconds of play! It was an outstanding game to be a part of as the ending spiraled into a 2 minute showdown.Kaleb Brown and Trey Johnson had to hit several free throws down the stretch to help maintain a 2-3 point lead heading into the final seconds of play, and DID IT! WMC had to continue fouling inorder to stay within reach in the final minute but Brown and Johnson were steady at the line.
The duration of the game was filled with lead changes and great outside shooting by WMC, but the Falcons maintained composure and took advantage of the inside game. Mikey Carlson led the Falcons with a strong 19 point and 9 rebound game! Trey Johnson stepped up and had a huge game as well! He was able to attack the paint and knock down 17points with 9 rebounds! The leader on the floor was Jonny Arnouts. In high pressure moments he navigated the team, captured several steals, pushed the ball in transitions and dished out 8 assists with 10 points to help the Falcons earn a VICTORY. 57-55

Pentwater Esports Fortnite team Fall Season came to an end today. They were playing to try to make it to the Finals at U of M Flint in December. They came out strong and won game 1 quickly. As their opponents figured us out, we fell in game 2. Game 3 came down to the final round unfortunately, we fell. Game 4 was also full of suspense. We were down 3 rounds of 7 when they pulled it back and ended up tied, so the final round was the deciding factor for making it to the finals. They ended up losing after a very valiant attempt.
As we learned about competing in this new to our team, I am super proud to be their coach. Aiden Henry and Anthony Acosta did a fantastic job trying to win today; I have been impressed with them all season. Michael Smith and Bryce Whalley have also contributed to the team at different points in the season.
Regarding the other Esports titles, Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, I am pleased to announce that they both made it to the finals at U of M Flint on Saturday, December 7th. I look forward to the Pentwater Esports team's third appearance at Finals in as many seasons.

Our Falcon's Friends elementary peer2peer group met today for our first event! We had a great time doing centers and building friendships. We worked on communication, kindness and manners! Mr. Michael Stone visited the 3rd grade classroom today. He shared his wealth of information about the SS Edmund Fitzgerald as well as its Nov. 10, 1975 sinking on Lake Superior. Mr. Stone shared many more shipwrecks that have happened on our Michigan's Five Great Lakes. Each student received a piece of taconite (like the iron ore cargo on the SS Edmund Fitzgerald); we thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, Mr. Stone!
